A testicular ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to create images of the testicles and surrounding structures in the scrotum. It is used to evaluate testicular masses, pain, swelling, or trauma.
Preparation:
- Generally, no special preparation is required.
- You will be asked to remove clothing and jewelry from the waist down.
- Wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is advisable.
